Le Parc à Koustic: a music festival like no other

The Fête de la Musique in Vendôme stands out with its original concept: Parc à Koustic. Born from the desire to offer a friendly and warm music festival, this event favors acoustic or lightly amplified performances, allowing spectators to move freely between the different stages set up in Parc Ronsard and the town center of Vendôme.

Six stages, a hundred musicians, one festival

From 3 PM to past midnight, about thirty activities take place in six different locations. Over a hundred musicians and singers perform throughout the afternoon and evening, offering a remarkably rich musical panorama:

  • Folk dances and Percheron dances: the musical traditions of Perche and Vendômois are honored with lively collective dances
  • Celtic and Irish music: fiddles, tin whistles, and bodhráns make the park vibrate to the rhythms of Ireland and Brittany
  • Irish dances: demonstrations and introductions for all levels
  • Gospel and sacred songs: local choirs deliver powerful vocal harmonies
  • French songs: from narrative songs to popular melodies, the French language is celebrated
  • Sea shanties: the maritime repertoire resonates in the park's alleys
  • Balkan music: brass instruments and lively rhythms transport the audience to Eastern Europe
  • Swedish and Renaissance music: rarer sounds complete this musical mosaic

A participatory and family-friendly event

Parc à Koustic is above all a participatory event. The public is invited to dance, sing, and share a moment of conviviality in the green setting of Parc Ronsard. The children's songs scheduled throughout the afternoon make it an ideal event for families. On-site catering allows the celebration to continue until the early hours.

Strong local roots

Organized by the City of Vendôme with the support of numerous local music associations, the Fête de la Musique in Vendôme reflects the cultural vitality of Vendômois. It showcases local talent while welcoming groups from elsewhere, creating a musical dialogue between local traditions and influences from around the world.
