Every year in June, the Fête du Port de Pêche celebrates the maritime trades and the seafood of La Rochelle. At the Chef-de-Baie port, fishermen and artisans share their know-how over a large seafood buffet.
Since its creation, the Fête du Port de Pêche has become a must-attend event for the people of La Rochelle and seafood lovers. Every June, the Chef-de-Baie port welcomes thousands of visitors celebrating fishing trades and tasting local specialties.
The highlight of the festival is the grand seafood buffet: grilled sardines, mackerel, oysters, freshly caught mussels. Visitors can enjoy these delicacies in a festive and friendly atmosphere by the water.
