The festival of television creation

Born in 1999 in Saint-Tropez, the Fiction Festival moved to La Rochelle about fifteen years ago as attendance from both professionals and the public grew. It was the first French audiovisual event to treat fiction as a major genre of creative work.

What to expect

Each year, nearly 60 series and standalone films are presented across French and international francophone competitions, as well as out-of-competition and special screenings. The public gets to discover brand-new works before they air, meet the creative teams, and attend autograph sessions.

A professional hub

From political and creative debates to round tables, conferences, meetings with broadcasters, and author pitches, the festival is the week where producers, broadcasters, writers, and actors come together. It brings together all facets of the industry, from production to key decision-makers. Nearly 50 private and public partners support the event.
