Fête Votive d'Uzès — edition 2026

52nd edition of the Uzès Votive Festival, from Friday, August 7 to Monday, August 10, 2026. Four days of Camargue bullfighting traditions (abrivado, bandido, encierro, Camargue races, toros-piscine at the Arènes Jean-Clément), dances, concerts, and entertainment throughout the city of Uzès.

The Fête Votive d'Uzès returns from Friday, August 7th to Monday, August 10th, 2026, for four days of festivities throughout the ducal city.

A festival at the heart of Camargue traditions

Organized every year in early August by the Festival Committee in partnership with the local bullfighting club, the Fête Votive d'Uzès celebrates the bullfighting traditions of the Camargue. Daily abrivados on the boulevards, an encierro at the esplanade, a Sunday morning roussataïo, Camargue races, and toro-piscine at the arènes Jean-Clément set the pace for these four days, featuring the Martini, Lescot, Puig, Labourayre, and Le Juge manades.

A festive and popular atmosphere

Beyond the bullfighting highlights, the festival is all about conviviality: an opening breakfast hosted by the municipality at the Jardin de l'Évêché, daily afternoon pétanque tournaments, a belote tournament, the Cycling Grand Prix, a Provençal parade, dances and concerts on the promenade des Marronniers, a funfair at the parking des Marronniers, and Children's Day at the place aux Herbes.

Pégoulade and Electros

Two iconic events anchor the weekend. The Pégoulade kicks off the festivities on Friday night at 9:30 PM on the boulevards: in 2026, the parade features a "fantastic beasts" theme, with imaginary creatures, colorful costumes, and floats—including a dragon, a train, and a carousel. Meanwhile, Les Electros d'Uzès celebrates its 26th edition on the promenade des Marronniers, with two nights of electronic music until 3:00 AM on August 7th and 8th.

A largely free festival

Almost all events are free to access: abrivados, encierro, roussataïo, pégoulade, the Provençal parade, street entertainment, and concerts on the boulevards. Only the toro-piscine, the Camargue races at the arènes Jean-Clément, the closing paella dinner, and the belote tournament require payment. Les Electros d'Uzès has its own separate ticketing system.
