La Féria Sen Bertomiu, five days of celebration in red and white by the lake
The Fêtes de Parentis-en-Born, known as Féria Sen Bertomiu (Saint-Barthélémy in Gascon), are the major annual festival of this town in the Born region, on the edge of Lake Biscarrosse-Parentis. For five days in August, the town is adorned in red and white for festivities combining bullfighting traditions, concerts, parades of decorated floats, bandas, folk dances, children's entertainment, and Landes gastronomy. The Roland Portalier arena hosts novilladas, Landes races, and recortadores.

Like many ferias in the Southwest, the Féria Sen Bertomiu adopts the red and white colors. The town is decorated in these festive hues, and participants are invited to wear the traditional attire. Bandas constantly roam the streets, creating a joyful musical atmosphere that lasts from morning until dawn.
Parentis-en-Born benefits from an exceptional natural setting between Lake Biscarrosse-Parentis and the vast pine forest of the Landes. The festivities take advantage of this environment to offer a unique summer atmosphere, blending Landes traditions with the relaxed lifestyle of the Born region.
