Eco-musical festival in nature at the Moulin de Feuyas
Feuyas'tival is an eco-musical and multicultural festival nestled in the heart of the Moulin de Feuyas in Dournazac, Haute-Vienne, on a preserved 30-hectare estate on the border of Limousin and Périgord. Created in 2018, this summer event combines contemporary music concerts, live performances, participatory workshops, nature activities, and environmental awareness within the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park. Three stages, emerging artists, paddleboarding, zip-lining, a pop-up artisan village, and a friendly atmosphere make it a unique event in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Nestled in a 30-hectare estate bordered by a mysterious pond and a dense forest, Feuyas'tival was born in 2018 at the Moulin de Feuyas, in Dournazac, on the edge of Haute-Vienne and Dordogne. This eco-musical and multicultural festival was designed to offer an immersive festive experience in the heart of nature, far from major commercial circuits. Located in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, 45 minutes from Limoges, the event celebrates musical diversity, emerging artistic creation, and ecological commitment in a setting of exceptional wild beauty.
The strength of Feuyas'tival lies in its program, which is over 80% local, showcasing emerging artists and diverse musical scenes. Spread across three unique stages integrated into the natural landscape, the concerts cover a wide spectrum: reggae, rock, electro, gypsy jazz, cumbia, oriental music, folk, and dub. The 2022 edition notably featured Ryon (reggae), Bievers Valley (gypsy jazz/latin/rock), Hibu/Carte Blanche (electropical/cumbia/disco/funk), Akan Khelen (oriental/electro-rock), Prain (rock), Waikiki Boys (electropical/cumbia), Najma (sax/electro), and a sound system to close the evenings in style.
Beyond music, Feuyas'tival hosts a free pop-up village every Saturday during the day, bringing together local artisans, wellness stands, creative workshops, and games for all ages. Festival-goers can enjoy remarkable free activities: paddleboarding on the pond, zip-lining over the forest, circus and street arts, yoga workshops, conferences on the environment, and folk dances in the evening. The LPO Limousin (League for the Protection of Birds) regularly participates in the festival with workshops to raise awareness about local biodiversity. These activities make Feuyas'tival more than just a music festival: a true laboratory of cultural and natural discoveries.
The preservation of the site and the reduction of human impact are the founding principles of Feuyas'tival. Specific eco-responsible logistics are implemented for each edition: waste sorting, dry toilets, reusable cups, short-circuit catering favoring local producers, and active encouragement of carpooling. The festival is part of an environmental awareness initiative that permeates the entire program, from conferences and practical workshops to guided nature walks on the Moulin de Feuyas estate.
With its accessible prices (weekend pass at €25, Saturday day free, free for under 12s), Feuyas'tival appeals to a wide and family audience. Festival camping is included in the ticket price, and numerous relaxation areas are set up on the estate to fully enjoy this exceptional natural setting. Driven by the Feuyas'tival association, chaired by Florian Schmidt, and a team of passionate volunteers, this rural festival embodies an alternative and committed vision of celebration in Haute-Vienne.
