Nature in Images
Created with the ambition of becoming an international event for nature lovers and image professionals, FINA (Festival Inter'Nature du Haut-Jura) has established itself in a few editions as a major event for wildlife photography in France. Located in Saint-Claude, in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, the festival benefits from an ideal geographical setting, between mountains, spruce forests, and peat bogs.
A Rich and Varied Program
Each edition of FINA offers a dense program structured around several axes:
- Photographic Exhibitions: 28 photographers and artists present their works at the Palais des Sports and in various locations in Saint-Claude, offering an exceptional panorama of contemporary nature photography.
- Documentary Films: Screenings of films and documentaries on nature, wildlife, and environmental issues.
- Conferences: Meetings with photographers, naturalists, and scientists on topics related to biodiversity and conservation.
- Nature Activities: Field trips, photo workshops, observations of the flora and fauna of the Haut-Jura.
The Haut-Jura, Land of Nature
The festival is deeply rooted in its territory. The Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, a partner of FINA, is home to remarkable biodiversity: lynx, capercaillie, chamois, peregrine falcons, wild orchids, and high-altitude peat bogs. This exceptional natural environment serves as both the backdrop and the main subject of the festival.
An Event for All Audiences
FINA is aimed at professional photographers as well as the general public and families. Workshops and activities are adapted for all ages, and exhibitions are accessible at a modest price. Complementary exhibitions are organized before the festival (January-February) to extend the visual experience throughout the year.
A Festival Village
The Palais des Sports in Saint-Claude is the heart of the festival, hosting ticketing, the main photographic exhibition, exhibitor stands, activities, refreshments, and a raffle. Visitors can spend a whole day there, moving between exhibitions, screenings, and meetings with the artists.
