The oldest organic fair in Berry
The Foire Bio de Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre is one of the oldest organic fairs in France, organized every year since 1976 by the association Neuvy Ecobio. Held on the last weekend of August at Parc Boulade, it brings together over 80 exhibitors focused on organic farming, ecological crafts, and healthy eating. Free and family-friendly, this fair offers conferences, workshops, children's activities, musical performances, and a market of certified organic producers, all in a friendly and committed spirit.
The Foire Bio de Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre is a pioneering event in the organic movement in France. Created in 1976 by activists for organic farming and ecology, it is organized by the association Neuvy Ecobio and is held annually on the last weekend of August at Parc Boulade, a green setting in the heart of this small town in Indre. In 2025, it celebrated its 50th edition, marking half a century of commitment to environmentally friendly agriculture and healthy eating.
Each edition of the Foire Bio brings together over 80 carefully selected exhibitors: certified organic producers, craftspeople using natural materials, environmental associations, and players in the solidarity economy. The market offers a wide range of products: fruits and vegetables, cheeses, wines, honeys, sourdough breads, natural cosmetics, organic fiber clothing, and artisanal objects. Visitors can discover and purchase directly from producers, promoting short supply chains and responsible consumption.
Beyond the market, the Foire Bio offers a rich program of conferences on environmental issues, agroecology, and the ecological transition. Practical workshops allow visitors to learn about composting, permaculture, making natural household products, or organic cooking. A space is dedicated to children's activities with wooden games, creative workshops, and storytelling. The fair also hosts musical performances by folk and traditional music groups, as well as a Food Forum led by ADAR-CIVAM and photographic exhibitions.
The Foire Bio de Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre is supported by Indre Nature, an environmental protection association, and is part of the dynamic of the Parc Naturel Régional Sud-Berry project. Free and open to all, it attracts several thousand visitors each year from Berry and neighboring regions. It embodies the values of a rural territory committed to preserving its environment and developing sustainable agriculture, while offering a festive and friendly outdoor experience.
