Folk'Ondres — edition 2026
Folk'Ondres 2026 - 2nd Edition
Building on the success of its first edition, Folk'Ondres returns in August 2026 for a second edition. The festival will host new invited folk groups from different regions of France for two days of shows, dances, and entertainment.
The program will follow the formula that made the first edition a success: street entertainment on Saturday in town and on the beach, a free folk dance evening on Saturday night at Salle Capranie, market demonstrations on Sunday morning, and a grand folk show on Sunday afternoon. The detailed program will be announced in spring 2026.

Folk'Ondres: The Folk Celebration in Ondres
Folk'Ondres is the first folk festival organized in Ondres, a commune on the Landes coast located between Bayonne and Capbreton. Supported by the association Les Bergers du Seignanx, a recognized local folk group, this festival aims to celebrate and pass on popular traditions through dance, music, and regional costumes.
Folk Groups from All Over France
Each edition of Folk'Ondres hosts several invited folk groups from different regions of France. The first edition brought together the groups Cru de Paille from Montseveroux in Isère, the Troubadours du Mont Royal from Montréjeau in the Pyrenees, and the Quatretto Chiracoise from Lozère, offering a rich panorama of French folk diversity.
A Festive and Participatory Program
The festival takes place over two days and offers a varied program. Saturday is dedicated to street entertainment in the center of Ondres and on the beach, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the village. The evening continues with a folk dance evening at the Salle Capranie, led by musicians from the invited groups and open free of charge to all lovers of traditional dances.
The Grand Folk Show
Sunday is the day for the grand folk show at the Salle Capranie. Each invited group presents its dances, songs, and traditional costumes in a colorful show that transports the audience to the heart of regional traditions. In the morning, the folk groups take over the Ondres market (Place Feuillet) for demonstrations of traditional dances that delight shoppers and visitors.
Les Bergers du Seignanx
The festival is organized by Les Bergers du Seignanx, a folk association based in Ondres that perpetuates Landes traditions through dance, song, and regional costumes. Founded several decades ago, the association participates in folk festivals throughout France and abroad, and wanted to create its own event to host friends from other groups on its territory.
Ondres, Between Ocean and Traditions
Ondres offers an ideal setting for this folk festival, with its ocean beach, its lively town center, and its renowned market. The shows take place in various locations within the commune, allowing visitors to discover the charm of this Landes seaside resort while enjoying the festivities.
