About Globe-Trotters Festival
Every year, the Festival des Globe-Trotters brings together two days of stories from independent travelers sharing footage captured on the road. Documentaries, travelogues, and meet-and-greets with filmmakers take place throughout the Opéra de Massy, across both the amphitheater and the auditorium.
The event is organized by Aventure du Bout du Monde (ABM), an association founded in 1987 by Didier Jéhanno to promote travel that respects the countries visited. Originally launched in 1989 in Noisy-le-Sec as the Forum des Globe-Trotters, the event moved to Issy-les-Moulineaux in 1992 and finally to the Opéra de Massy in 2006, where it has been held every year in late September.
Globe-Trotters Festival — edition 2026
The 38th edition shines a spotlight on female travelers, featuring stories such as a trek across the Andes, a horseback expedition in Central Asia, and five months of improvisation in Africa. Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, around twenty films and travelogues will be presented in the amphitheater and auditorium, with the directors on hand to discuss their work. The Saturday evening will conclude with a concert by Andrés Izurieta, "Amérique Infinie".
