There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Since 2007, the Good Old Days festival has transformed the Belle Isle Exhibition Centre in Châteauroux into a true slice of America. Organized by the eponymous association, this biennial festival has become the unmissable event for fans of American culture, country, rockabilly, and vintage in central France.
Good Old Days is more than just a music festival: it's a total immersion into 1950s and 1960s America. The Wild West atmosphere takes over the Belle Isle park for three days, with a faithful recreation of the ambiance of American diners, vintage gas stations, and military encampments. Visitors stroll among gleaming American cars, motorcycles, and trucks, while a US Army encampment takes visitors back into American military history.
Music is at the heart of the festival with free concerts spread over the three days of the event. Country, rockabilly, rock'n'roll, and blues bands perform on several stages, creating a continuous musical atmosphere. Among the artists programmed in previous editions, we find names like Chris Evans, McKenzie, Gunshot, and Buffalo Hill Billy.
Several dance floors are set up for the delight of enthusiasts. Country dancing, line dancing, and Catalan dancing are featured, with classes and activities accessible to both experienced dancers and beginners who wish to learn. The dance floors are among the liveliest areas of the festival, attracting a passionate audience from all over France.
Over the years, Good Old Days has established itself as one of the most important American festivals in central France. On Saturday, a vehicle parade crosses the streets of Châteauroux, offering a colorful and noisy spectacle to passers-by. On Sunday, an 80-kilometer race is organized for sports enthusiasts. The festival brings together thousands of visitors each edition, who come to share their common passion for vintage American culture in a friendly and family atmosphere.
