The new meeting point for rap and urban culture in Lyon
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Born in 2025, Hypnotize Festival established itself from its very first edition as a must-see event for the rap and hip-hop scene in Lyon. Produced by Fever, this new kind of festival has chosen a spectacular setting to host the biggest names in French rap: the Grand Parc Miribel Jonage, a vast natural space of 2,200 hectares on the outskirts of Lyon.
The festival defines itself as much more than just a musical event: it's an immersive cultural and artistic experience that celebrates hip-hop culture in all its dimensions—music, dance, visual art, and gastronomy.
Each edition, Hypnotize Festival brings together over twenty artists from the French rap and urban scene, blending legends and emerging talents on three stages. The first edition in 2025 hosted top headliners like Booba, Dadju, Vald, Kalash, Leto, and Jok'Air, alongside the new generation with Meryl, Bu$hi, Edge, and Carbonne.
The festival offers a rich parallel program of activities: rap battles, breakdance battles, live graffiti, and a dozen food trucks for dining. The festival experience is designed to immerse the public in the world of urban culture, in an exceptional natural setting.
The Grand Parc Miribel Jonage, France's largest suburban park, offers a green and spacious setting ideal for an outdoor festival. Located just fifteen minutes from the center of Lyon, the park is easily accessible by car, bus (dedicated TCL shuttles), or bicycle via the ViaRhôna. Parking is free for festival-goers.
2026 edition cancelled. The Hypnotize Festival team announced on January 15, 2026, that the second Lyon edition, initially scheduled for June 12 and 13, 2026, at Grand Parc Miribel Jonage, would not take place. The organisers speak of a break to avoid offering an edition below initial ambitions, without ruling out a future return.
ℹ️ 2026 edition cancelled — the festival is taking a break. The Hypnotize Festival team confirmed on January 15, 2026, that the second Lyon edition, initially scheduled for June 12 and 13, 2026, at Grand Parc Miribel Jonage in Vaulx-en-Velin, would not take place this year. Festival-goers who had already purchased a 2026 pass have been informed that they will soon be contacted by the organisation regarding their tickets.
In their statement released on the festival's social media, the organisers (Fever) explain: «this decision was not easy to make, but it became necessary» and that they «are not able to offer an experience that lives up» to the ambitions displayed during the first edition. The team prefers to suspend the project rather than return in 2026 with artistic or logistical compromises.
The sister festival Hypnotize Bordeaux, which was also supposed to have its second edition in September 2026 at the Parc des Expositions, was cancelled shortly after (announced on February 2, 2026), confirming that the break concerns the entire project and not just the Lyon event.
The organisers insist that this is «not a goodbye»: their «passion for rap is still intact» and they are already thinking about the future, waiting for the right moment to relaunch the festival. No date has been communicated for a possible return.
As a reminder, the first Lyon edition took place on June 13 and 14, 2025, at Grand Parc Miribel Jonage and gathered approximately 25,000 festival-goers over two days, with a lineup featuring Booba, Dadju, Vald, Kalash, Leto, and Jok'Air alongside emerging artists such as Meryl, Bu$hi, Edge, or Carbonne.
