Music Immersion in the Haut-Jura

Since 2009, Jazz on the Park has offered a unique musical experience in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park. More than just a festival, it's a true immersive music workshop in the Jura nature, where musicians of all levels come to perfect their skills in jazz, funk, blues, and improvised music.

A Comprehensive Educational Program

The workshop welcomes musicians wishing to develop and improve their knowledge by interacting with other musicians and singers, guided by a team of professional musicians. The program includes:

• Individual instrument lessons: bass, drums, vocals, double bass, guitar, piano, saxophone, trombone, and trumpet.
• Ensemble classes: collective practice in small groups to work on playing in a band.
• Thematic workshops: harmonies, jazz singing and scat, improvisation, rhythm, and specific techniques.
• Jam sessions: daily free sessions to put the day's learning into practice.

Concerts Open to the Public

Each evening, open-air concerts are organized, featuring performances by the professional instructors and the participants' work. These festive events are open to the public and take place in a friendly atmosphere, accompanied by Comté cheese and Savagnin wine tastings from the Jura region.

An Exceptional Natural Setting

Chaux-des-Crotenay is a small village nestled in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, surrounded by spruce forests, pastures, and lakes. The exceptional natural setting, between mountains and forests, fully contributes to the musical experience offered by Jazz on the Park. Participants also enjoy local gastronomy: cheeses (Comté, Morbier), Jura wines, and regional specialties.
