Palavas-les-Flots Jousts — Mayor's Trophy 2026
On July 24, 2026, the Léz canal hosts the Languedoc jousting tournament « Trophée du Maire », one of the summer highlights of the Palavas-les-Flots jousting season. Jousters compete from the tintaine of their boat, lance and shield in hand, in the pure Languedoc tradition inherited from the 19th century.
The jousts take place on the Léz canal, in the heart of the resort, along quai Paul Cunq where the podium is set up. The tournament is organized by the Lance Sportive Palavasienne and access is free for the public seated on the banks.
The « Trophée du Maire » is part of a jousting season that runs from mid-June to early September, punctuated by several local and championship tournaments throughout the summer in Palavas-les-Flots, in Hérault.

The Mayor's Trophy is part of the 2026 Palavas-les-Flots jousting season, which also includes other tournaments on the Léz canal: Émile Guiral Trophy (July 4), Louis Merle Trophy (July 13), Jean Guiral Trophy (August 15) and Didier Jimenez Trophy (early September). All are organized by the Lance Sportive Palavasienne.
