About Août Musical

Created in 2002 by the founders of the Festival de Pâques, the Août Musical de Deauville is a summer chamber music residence where the rising stars of the European music scene invite particularly brilliant young performers. From baroque to 20th-century masterpieces, the festival offers about ten days of concerts at the Salle Elie de Brignac and Les Franciscaines.

L'Août Musical: Deauville's Summer Chamber Music Event

Born in 2002, L'Août Musical de Deauville extends the spirit of the Festival de Pâques into the summer. Created by its founders, it offers the most promising young soloists and chamber ensembles of their generation a unique setting for artistic residence and concerts.

A Demanding and Varied Repertoire

The festival features a repertoire ranging from baroque music on period instruments to the masterpieces of the 20th century, including the great classics of the chamber music repertoire. Established musicians invite particularly gifted young performers, in a spirit of transmission and artistic sharing.

Concerts are mainly held at the Salle Elie de Brignac – Arqana, supplemented by mini-concerts at Les Franciscaines in a more intimate and accessible format.

A European-Scale Festival

In over twenty editions, L'Août Musical has established itself as a must-attend event on the European classical music scene, revealing the talents that will shape the chamber music of tomorrow each year.

Août Musical — edition 2026

The 25th edition of the Août Musical de Deauville takes place from July 31st to August 8th, 2026 at the Salle Elie de Brignac – Arqana and Les Franciscaines. This anniversary edition celebrates 25 years of summer chamber music residency, where leading figures of the new European generation invite particularly brilliant young performers to interpret masterpieces from the repertoire, from baroque to the 20th century.

25th Edition — July 31st to August 8th, 2026

For its 25th anniversary, the Août Musical de Deauville offers eight concerts at the Salle Elie de Brignac – Arqana and a promenade concert at Les Franciscaines. True to its spirit of a summer residency, the festival brings together established artists and young talents around a repertoire ranging from Bach and Beethoven to 20th-century masters (Bartók, Reich, Messiaen).

Ticket sales open on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026 via the Mapado platform and at the Centre International de Deauville (CID). Complete programs are published on the official website musiqueadeauville.com.
