L'Août Musical: Deauville's Summer Chamber Music Event
Born in 2002, L'Août Musical de Deauville extends the spirit of the Festival de Pâques into the summer. Created by its founders, it offers the most promising young soloists and chamber ensembles of their generation a unique setting for artistic residence and concerts.
A Demanding and Varied Repertoire
The festival features a repertoire ranging from baroque music on period instruments to the masterpieces of the 20th century, including the great classics of the chamber music repertoire. Established musicians invite particularly gifted young performers, in a spirit of transmission and artistic sharing.
Concerts are mainly held at the Salle Elie de Brignac – Arqana, supplemented by mini-concerts at Les Franciscaines in a more intimate and accessible format.
A European-Scale Festival
In over twenty editions, L'Août Musical has established itself as a must-attend event on the European classical music scene, revealing the talents that will shape the chamber music of tomorrow each year.
