La Pescalune 2026, a grand votive festival and feria in Lunel, takes place from July 11 to 19, 2026, in Hérault. Eight days of festivities centered around Camargue traditions, bullfighting passion, and the Lunel way of life, with abrivados, Camargue races, corridas, free shows, and concerts.
La Pescalune, Lunel's emblematic festival, returns from July 11 to 19, 2026, for eight days celebrating Camargue traditions, bullfighting passion, and the Lunel way of life. The event combines bull games, Camargue races, corridas, free shows, and friendly entertainment at the Espace des Arènes Francis San Juan.
The festival opens on the weekend of July 11 and 12 with the equestrian show La Cavalerie Enchantée and an American rodeo, the unmissable toro-mousse and toro-piscine organized with the Jeunesse Lunelloise, as well as a free concert on July 12 (Christophe Michel).
The new Feria des Arènes then enlivens the heart of the festival with abrivados, bandidos, 'courses au plan' (bull runs), and the traditional release of bulls and horses. Several themed days punctuate the week: the Journée des Péquelets, the Journée du Terroir, and the Journée à l'Ancienne.
On the arena program: the Trophée des Gardians (July 15), several Camargue races including the Trophée du Muscat and a tribute to Manade Laurent, the Grand Portuguese Corrida without killing (July 16), a Mixed Corrida (July 17), and the Bolsin, a competition for young bullfighters (July 16-17).
Bastille Day is celebrated in Lunel with an official ceremony, torchlight procession, fireworks, and the firefighters' ball.
Throughout the festival, numerous free shows are offered: open-air cinema, amateur theater (Festi'Lune), flamenco, magic, cabaret, as well as dancing orchestras and lively Thursday evening terraces.
