The Rand'Auvergne returns for its 35th edition on June 27 and 28, 2026, starting from Ambert in Livradois-Forez. Nicknamed "the pleasure race," this two-day enduro rally annually brings together the big names in world enduro alongside passionate amateurs on the trails of the Livradois-Forez massif and the Monts du Forez.
A route of approximately 400 km over two days
The 2026 route extends over approximately 400 kilometers spread over two days, with 5 timed specials per day. Saturday retains the classic crossing in the Loire department, with the first two time checks of day 1 outside Puy-de-Dôme. The organization has adapted the route to avoid certain sectors, as the Moto-Club du Livradois is also organizing a round of the French Enduro Championship in Vertolaye in September.
Registrations and spots
For this 35th edition, nearly 450 spots are reserved for the general public and approximately 200 spots for partners and renowned riders. Pre-registrations took place from February 20 (7:00 PM) to February 22, 2026 (11:59 PM), with results (In race, On hold, Refused) announced on March 14, 2026. Access
By car: Ambert is accessible via the D906 from Thiers or the D996 from Clermont-Ferrand via Billom. Allow about 1 hour 15 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand.
Rider Registration
Registration: approximately €295-300 per rider. Pre-registration online at randauvergne.com (opens in February, limited places).
Spectators
Free access to the sides of the special stages. Food and refreshments available at the checkpoints.

La Rand'Auvergne: The Mythical Enduro of Livradois-Forez
La Rand'Auvergne is one of the most prestigious and oldest motorcycle enduro events in France. Organized every year at the end of June by the Moto-Club du Livradois, this two-day enduro ride starting from Ambert attracts over 600 riders from France and Europe to tackle the paths and trails of the Livradois-Forez and Monts du Forez massifs.
A Challenging and Spectacular Course
The Rand'Auvergne course spans approximately 400 kilometers over two days:
- Saturday: approximately 220 km with 5 timed special stages, including the classic crossing into the Loire department
- Sunday: approximately 160 km with 5 timed special stages
The 10 timed special stages test the riders' technique and endurance on varied terrain: forest paths, mountain trails, dirt tracks, and technical sections. The course crosses magnificent landscapes among volcanoes, dense forests, and deep valleys.
A Benchmark Sporting Event
La Rand'Auvergne is a must-attend event on the French enduro calendar, attracting top-level riders alongside passionate amateurs. The 2025 edition, the 34th of its name, hosted an exceptional field with over 600 riders, including world champion Josep García. The winner completed the special stages in 1h07'34''.
Remarkable Territorial Mobilization
The organization of La Rand'Auvergne involves nearly 500 volunteers spread across the 49 communes crossed by the course. This collective commitment demonstrates the event's deep local roots and the pride of the inhabitants of Livradois-Forez in hosting this legendary competition. Access to the sides of the special stages is free for spectators, who can enjoy refreshments and food along the route.
Ambert, Capital of Enduro
The town of Ambert, known for its PDO Fourme cheese and historical heritage, has become a major hub for enduro in France. In addition to La Rand'Auvergne, the commune regularly hosts rounds of the Enduro World Championship, thanks to the quality of its terrain and the expertise of the Moto-Club du Livradois.
