Le 46ème Rugissant — whose name is a nod to the Lot department (46) and the famous roaring forties — has become over the years an unmissable event for lovers of contemporary and amplified music in Figeac. Supported by L'Astrolabe du Grand-Figeac, the cultural service of the community of communes, this event is part of the annual cultural season and offers an evening of concerts at the Espace François-Mitterrand, in the heart of the medieval town in the Lot.

An eclectic and audacious program

Each edition of Le 46ème Rugissant is an invitation to a sonic journey. The program highlights pioneering and traveling musicians, artists who push the boundaries of genres and offer lively, energetic, and colorful shows. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists as diverse as Oxmo Puccino, a legend of French rap with a refined pen, Féfé, an emblematic figure of Saian Supa Crew, Biga*Ranx and his vapor reggae, General Electriks and their irresistible electro-funk, Zentone (an explosive encounter between Zenzile and High Tone), La P'tite Fumée and their festive electronic sets, TechnoBrass, a Brazilian septet mixing brass and repetitive beats, Chill Bump, a hip-hop duo, and B.C.U.C. with their captivating africangungungu.

A festive and accessible spirit

Le 46ème Rugissant cultivates a warm and friendly atmosphere, with spectacular highlights that punctuate the evening. The standing format and the energy of the programmed artists create a collective festive atmosphere where the audience is as close as possible to the stage. The festival strives to remain accessible to all: moderate prices (between 7 and 20 euros), free entry or reduced rates for students, job seekers, and RSA beneficiaries upon presentation of proof. The event is open to ages 10 and up and accessible to people with reduced mobility.

It complements a rich offering including theater, dance, circus, and cinema, and constitutes the annual highlight dedicated to contemporary music in the region.
