Festival of song, eclectic music, and gastronomy in Langeais
Le Chant des Possibles is an eclectic song and music festival held each spring at Domaine de la Mulotière in Langeais. Created in 2024, this young festival attracted 3,000 visitors from its second edition in 2025, thanks to a program blending French song headliners — Les Ogres de Barback, Oldelaf, Merlot — and emerging artists. The 3rd edition was held on May 8 and 9, 2026, with Oldelaf, Merlot, Pourquoi Pourquoi and Lionel Suarez (Mouss et Hakim) on the main stage. The festival stands out for its alliance between music and gastronomy, with the presence of local agricultural producers and food trucks, making Domaine de la Mulotière a place of conviviality and discovery.
Born in 2024, the Le Chant des Possibles festival quickly established itself as a festive and gourmet event in the heart of Touraine. Located at Domaine de la Mulotière in Langeais, this festival blends French song, eclectic music, and art de vivre, in a spirit of conviviality and discovery.
Domaine de la Mulotière, taken over in 2023 and transformed into an event and accommodation venue, offers a 4-hectare rural setting ideal for an open-air festival at the gates of Langeais. This estate, which also hosts reception and production activities, forms the natural backdrop for the festival, allowing visitors to enjoy music in a green and authentic environment.
Le Chant des Possibles offers a program that highlights French song and eclectic music, across two stages: the main stage (paid concerts) and the estate (free access activities with the leisure pass). The 1st edition welcomed Les Ogres de Barback with their family show Pittocha, confirming the festival's vocation to reach an intergenerational audience. The 2026 edition brought together Oldelaf, Merlot, Pourquoi Pourquoi and Lionel Suarez with Mouss et Hakim, blending musical humor, poetic song, and festive music.
From its second edition in 2025, the festival welcomed 3,000 visitors, including over 2,000 for Les Ogres de Barback's Pittocha show. This attendance demonstrates the public's enthusiasm for this new event that combines music, gastronomy, and a rural setting.
One of the original features of Le Chant des Possibles is its gastronomic component. The festival hosts local agricultural producers and food trucks, inviting visitors to discover the flavors of the Touraine region while enjoying the concerts. This dimension makes the festival a true gourmet festival, the first of its kind in Langeais, which highlights short supply chains and local products.
The festival also offers an educational dimension with children's activities focused on agriculture, food, and the circular economy: introduction to citrus grafting, composting, beekeeping, bicycle repair, reading corner, and face painting. The atmosphere is decidedly family-friendly and convivial, with activities suitable for all ages.
The 3rd edition of Le Chant des Possibles took place on May 8th and 9th, 2026, at Domaine de la Mulotière in Langeais, from noon to midnight each day. Under the big top, the audience found Oldelaf, Merlot, Pourquoi Pourquoi, and Lionel Suarez accompanied by Mouss et Hakim. Throughout the estate, with free access via the 'pass temps libre': Klezmer mit Tsibeles, Les Petits Métalleux, Les Amoureux du Dimanche, the Langeais Music School, Brassens for children, a stand-up comedy show, and numerous activities centered around agriculture and short supply chains.
