About Le Forban Festival
Every year, Le Forban fait son Festival brings rock, blues, and electronic music acts to the port of Le Bono for an open-air evening. The event is organized by the Le Forban du Bono association—founded in 1989 to reconstruct a traditional Gulf of Morbihan fishing boat—to fund the ongoing maintenance of their vessel.

A festival born from a boat
The Le Forban du Bono association was established in 1989 to rebuild a 'forban,' a traditional working sailboat from the Gulf of Morbihan that had vanished during the 20th century. The boat, named Notre Dame de Béquerel, was built between 1990 and 1991 in Saint-Goustan by apprentice shipwrights. Since then, the association has maintained the vessel, sailing it throughout the Gulf and around Quiberon, and participating in major maritime gatherings in Brest and Douarnenez.
Le Forban fait son Festival was born out of this need for upkeep: proceeds from the bar, food stalls, and merchandise sold during the evening help fund the boat's maintenance, with a new round of repairs scheduled for the winter of 2026-2027.
An evening by the harbor
The event takes place at the port of Le Bono, starting at 4:00 PM, featuring a lineup of local and regional bands throughout the evening, followed by a closing DJ set.
