About Escales de Binic
Les Escales de Binic is a festival of wandering literatures organized every year at the end of March in Binic-Etables-sur-Mer, in the Côtes-d'Armor. Created in 2012, this literary event offers a weekend of meetings with authors, signings, readings, performances, workshops, round tables, and a book fair. Poetry, novels, comic strips, essays: the festival celebrates the diversity of writing with a different theme each year, in connection with the Printemps des poètes. The 14th edition in 2025 had the theme Volcanic.

Les Escales de Binic is a festival of wandering literatures held every year at the end of March in Binic-Etables-sur-Mer, a seaside resort in the Côtes-d'Armor. Created in 2012, this festival offers a weekend of literary encounters in various locations in the town, mainly at the Salle de l'Estran on Avenue du General de Gaulle.
Diversity of writings and formats
The festival hosts authors of poetry, novels, comic strips, and essays, in a spirit of discovery and sharing. Signings, public readings, performances, writing workshops, round tables, and a book fair make up a rich and accessible program. The Escales Gourmandes, a monthly reading club, extends the spirit of the festival throughout the year.
A different theme each year
Each edition of the festival is placed under a theme related to the Printemps des poètes. In 2025, the 14th edition had the theme Volcanic, celebrating precise, passionate, and illuminating writing. The 13th edition in 2024 was presided over by Edmond Baudoin and Emmanuel Lepage.
