Festival of clown and live performance in Callac
Est-ce que tu Breizh is a festival of clown and live performance held every autumn in Callac, in the Côtes-d'Armor. Organized by the association L'Art chez Vous, this clown festival makes Callac the meeting place for clown arts in Central Brittany. The festival invites renowned artists from the French clown scene. The 2025 edition hosted Patrick de Valette (from the group Les Chiches Capons) in his solo “HOBOBO”, directed by Isabelle Nanty. The 2024 edition featured Didier Super with his show “Ta vie sera plus moche que la mienne”, as well as Jackie Star and the group Diaminé for a traditional Italian Pizzica concert.
The program includes clown workshops for children and adults, open stages (open mic) allowing clowns, magicians, jugglers, acrobats, and cabaret artists to present a 5 to 15-minute act, concerts, and street performances. On-site catering and bars accompany this celebration of humor and poetry.
The shows mainly take place at the Espace Kan An Dour, Callac's cultural venue which hosts headliners and open stages in a setting suited for live arts.
