About On the Lands of the Unique - Tolkien Convention

Since 2018, the Sur les Terres de l'Unique association has brought together fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's work every year in Plestin-les-Grèves, in the Côtes-d'Armor region. Featuring a fantasy medieval market, workshops, costume contests, lectures, and a grand parade, the event draws over 7,000 visitors over two days, welcoming guests from the worlds of illustration and Tolkien scholarship.

On the Lands of the Unique - Tolkien Convention — edition 2026

The 2026 edition will take place on September 26th and 27th at An Dour Meur in Plestin-les-Grèves. The weekend will feature the hallmarks that have made this convention famous: a fantasy medieval market, workshops, costume contests, and a grand parade, all set within a festive atmosphere inspired by the world of Tolkien.

  • 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM — Fantasy medieval market, workshops, costume contests, live entertainment, lectures, grand closing parade, and an author-illustrator area · An Dour Meur

The guest list and the detailed schedule for lectures and activities have not yet been released for the 2026 edition.

Prices On the Lands of the Unique - Tolkien Convention 2026

€3 for a one-day pass (Saturday or Sunday), €5 for a weekend pass. Free for children under 12. Tickets available on-site (cash, check, or card).
