Each summer, the town of Bitche, dominated by its Vauban citadel, a listed historic monument, dons its finest attire to host Les Estivales de Bitche. This free popular festival has become a must-attend summer event in northeastern Moselle, attracting thousands of visitors in a joyful and friendly atmosphere.

A different theme each year

The originality of Les Estivales lies in its annual theme which sets the tone for the entire program. The 2025 edition, titled "Made in USA", offered a journey into the heart of American culture with entertainment inspired by the Far West, superheroes, and country music. Previous editions have explored other universes, each time with creativity and generosity in the decorations and entertainment.

Concerts and shows

The musical program is rich and varied, with concerts on the main stage set up on the Place de la Légion d'Honneur. Bands and artists offer a repertoire related to the edition's theme — country and American rock for the 2025 edition — creating a festive and danceable atmosphere. Street shows, costumed parades, and artistic entertainment punctuate the two days of festivities.

Entertainment for the whole family

Les Estivales offer a particularly rich program of family entertainment: creative workshops for children, inflatable games, face painting, discovery stands, and themed trails. The Stadtweiher park, a large green space by the pond, hosts part of the entertainment in a pleasant natural setting.

The grand fireworks display

The highlight of Les Estivales is the grand fireworks display on Sunday evening at 10:30 PM, which illuminates the sky of Bitche and its citadel in a breathtaking pyrotechnic show. This magical moment concludes two days of festivities in a dazzling finale that delights young and old alike.
