Outdoor and nature festival in Suisse Normande
Every year on Ascension weekend, the Les ExtraVerties festival transforms the exceptional natural sites of Suisse Normande into a vast playground for discovery. For three days, La Roche d'Oëtre and Pont-d'Ouilly welcome thousands of visitors to enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities in a breathtaking natural setting.
The festival offers an impressive program of outdoor sports and leisure activities: hiking with thematic routes and new options each year, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding on the Orne river, climbing on the cliffs of La Roche d'Oëtre, mountain biking, archery, zip-lining, treetop adventure courses, airbag jumping, BMX, nature laser tag, and donkey rides.
The starting point of the festival on Thursday, La Roche d'Oëtre is one of Normandy's most remarkable natural sites, with its schist cliffs overlooking the Rouvre gorges. This emblematic site of Suisse Normande offers a spectacular panorama and is an ideal setting for the outdoor activities proposed by the festival.
From 10 am, a market of local producers and artisans allows visitors to discover the flavors and know-how of the Norman region. Cider, cheeses, cured meats, honey, and artisanal creations are offered in a friendly and rustic atmosphere.
Les ExtraVerties places great importance on families with a dedicated children's village offering a firefighter's course, face painting, giant wooden games, and numerous activities. Free evening concerts complete the festive program.
Organized by Flers Agglo and the tourism stakeholders of Suisse Normande, the Les ExtraVerties festival contributes to the promotion of this exceptional natural territory and the development of outdoor tourism in Normandy.
The 8th edition of Les ExtraVerties took place from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16, 2026, Ascension weekend, between La Roche d'Oëtre (Saint-Philbert-sur-Orne, Orne) and the Pont-d'Ouilly leisure base (Calvados), in the heart of Suisse Normande.
