The unmissable street arts festival in Falaise
Les Faltaisies is the street arts festival of Falaise, offering a free program each summer mixing circus, theater, music, and dance in the streets and heritage sites of the medieval city. Born from a desire to explore new artistic forms and offer great encounters to the public, Les Faltaisies takes over the neighborhoods and historic sites of Falaise for a week, with shows accessible to all.
For over fifteen years, the Les Faltaisies festival has transformed the streets of Falaise into a vast open-air stage. Organized by the Forum, Théâtre de Falaise, this free street arts festival offers a week of shows each summer, mixing circus, theater, music, dance, and burlesque arts in the neighborhoods and heritage sites of the Norman city.
Les Faltaisies was born from a desire to explore new artistic forms and offer the public great encounters with performing arts companies. Each edition hosts a dozen companies from all over France, who take over the squares, alleys, and gardens of Falaise for open-air performances. The program covers a wide spectrum: acrobatic shows, strolling brass bands, aquatic shows, western-concerts, burlesque dramas, comedies, and dance performances.
One of the strengths of Les Faltaisies is its complete freeness. All shows are free to access, allowing everyone to discover street arts in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Families, culture enthusiasts, and the curious meet at the corner of a street to share moments of wonder and laughter, in a remarkable historical setting.
The 2026 edition of Les Faltaisies is expected in July 2026 in Falaise. The free street arts festival will offer a new program mixing circus, theater, music, and dance in the streets of the Norman medieval city.
The Les Faltaisies festival returns in July 2026 for a new edition in the streets of Falaise. True to its spirit of openness and freeness, the festival will offer an eclectic program mixing circus, street theater, music, and dance.
The invited companies will once again take over the squares, alleys, and gardens of the medieval city to offer the public free and accessible shows for everyone. Check the official website for the detailed program.
