Lisieux Grands Ouverts Festival

A festival of surprises in the heart of Lisieux

Created in 2021 by the association Lisieux bouge !, the Lisieux Grands Ouverts festival was born from the desire to liven up the city of Lisieux with street arts and performing arts. In partnership with the City of Lisieux, the festival takes over the streets, squares, and gardens of the city every autumn for three days of performances, concerts, and shows for all audiences.

Street arts, circus, and performing arts

The Lisieux Grands Ouverts program covers all genres of artistic intervention in public spaces: contemporary circus, street theater, dance, music, visual arts, and performances. The programming mixes renowned companies and emerging artists, with a particular focus on shows for young audiences and families.

Free during the day, ticketed in the evening

One of the festival's specificities is its free daytime access, allowing all residents and visitors to enjoy street performances, artistic installations, and activities. The evening program, featuring concerts and shows in dedicated venues, is available through ticketing. The Jardins de Mosaïc host part of the program with a bar and food trucks.

Lisieux bouge ! — the driving association

The association Lisieux bouge !, founded in 2021, is the driving force behind this festival and other cultural events in Lisieux, including the Rose Métal festival. Supported by about fifty volunteers, it works to revitalize the cultural life of Lisieux and its region.
