Les Jaunay'Stivales: Twenty Years of Celebration in Vendée
Since 2005, the Les Jaunay'Stivales festival has enlivened summer evenings in the Pays des Achards in Vendée. Supported by the Community of Communes of the Pays des Achards, this free outdoor cultural event has built a loyal, large family audience over the years. In 2025, the festival celebrated its 20th anniversary, confirming its place in the Vendée cultural landscape.
An Itinerant and Convivial Festival
The originality of Jaunay'Stivales lies in its itinerant format: each evening takes place in a different town in the region, taking over remarkable natural and heritage sites. The Terrasses du Jaunay in Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche, the outdoor spaces of Saint-Julien-des-Landes, Sainte-Flaive-des-Loups, La Chapelle-Hermier, and Les Achards all host the festivities in turn. This format highlights local heritage while bringing culture closer to the residents.
An Eclectic and Accessible Program
Each evening is built around a dual program: a street performance at 8 p.m. (circus, theater, aerial dance) followed by a festive concert at 9 p.m., in various genres ranging from French chanson to jazz, from Celtic rock to world music. Among the artists who have graced the festival's stages are groups like Brin d'Zinc, The Celtic Tramps, Mouv'N'Brass, Karpatt, and the Scratchophone Orchestra. Some evenings conclude with fireworks.
A Unifying Event
Entirely free, the festival emphasizes conviviality with food and drink areas run by local associations starting at 7 p.m. Les Jaunay'Stivales is a true highlight of the Vendée summer, bringing together families, residents, and vacationers for music and live performance in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Les Jaunay'Stivales return for summer 2026 with three free open-air evenings in the Pays des Achards: on Thursdays, July 23 (Martinet), July 30 (Nieul-le-Dolent), and August 6 (Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche). Each evening combines a street show at 8 PM and a festive concert at 9 PM, in a family-friendly and convivial atmosphere.
2026 Edition
The Les Jaunay'Stivales festival offers three free open-air events during summer 2026, true to its itinerant format across the communes of Pays des Achards in Vendée. Every Thursday evening, the public discovers a street show at 8 PM, followed by a festive concert at 9 PM, all supported by the Communauté de communes du Pays des Achards and local associations.
Three Itinerant Evenings
- Thursday, July 23 — Martinet (Les Ouches du Jaunay): the Big Joanna Marching Band opens the evening, followed by the group Les Barbeaux; the evening concludes with a fireworks display.
- Thursday, July 30 — Nieul-le-Dolent (Plan d'eau des Garnes): the contortion show « D'ébauche » precedes Mago's concert.
- Thursday, August 6 — Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche (esplanade de la salle polyvalente): the street show « Faut qu'ça tourne » is followed by Au P'tit Bonheur's concert.
Access to all shows and concerts is completely free. A refreshment stand and catering are provided on site by local associations.

By car: The festival takes place in several towns in the Pays des Achards, near the D760 between La Roche-sur-Yon and Les Sables-d'Olonne. Free parking at each site.
From La Roche-sur-Yon: approximately 25 minutes. From Les Sables-d'Olonne: approximately 20 minutes.
