Les Marionnettes en Balade: A Family Festival in the Heart of Parc de la Tour
Every June, the Parc de la Tour in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire transforms into a vibrant green theatre for the Les Marionnettes en Balade festival. This festive day, organized by the City of Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, celebrates the art of puppetry and object theatre in all its forms, within an exceptional natural setting on the banks of the Loire.

From 10 am to 7 pm, the festival offers a dense program combining puppet shows, object theatre, festive parades, creative workshops, and storytelling. The invited companies present a variety of artistic forms, from traditional puppet booths to the most inventive contemporary creations, including street theatre and poetic strolls.

The festival places great importance on artistic practice with numerous participatory workshops: making eco-puppets from recycled materials, creating puppets and balloon sculpting, workshops led by professional artists. These workshops are accessible by free registration via the city's online ticketing, subject to availability.

The program is designed to welcome all audiences, from toddlers aged 3 and up to adults. Shows take place at various points in the park, creating a discovery trail along the shaded paths. For this new edition, Parc de la Tour in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire is once again transformed into a green theatre dedicated to the art of puppetry and object theatre. From 10 AM to 7 PM, young and old are invited to a poetic and quirky day, punctuated by shows, festive strolls, creative workshops, and storytelling readings in deckchairs near the syrup bar.
The program brings together about fifteen shows presented by invited companies from various backgrounds, mixing traditional puppets, object theatre, circus, and interactive concerts. The event is organized by the Ville de Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire as part of its cultural season.
