Chamber music at the heart of Jura's heritage

Created in 2010 under the name Salines en Musique, Les Musicales du Revermont took their current name in 2016, reflecting the festival's geographical expansion to the entire Pays du Revermont. This chamber music festival has established itself as the flagship event of the Salins summer cultural season, attracting a regional, local, and tourist audience around exceptional musical programs.

An artistic residency concept

The founding principle of Les Musicales du Revermont is based on artistic residency: high-level international musicians settle in Salins-les-Bains for a week and work together before performing in concert. This immersion in the Jura region enriches their interpretation and creates unique musical moments, imbued with the special atmosphere of these historic places.

Exceptional concert venues

The festival's uniqueness comes from the quality of the heritage sites that host the concerts:

  • Salins-les-Bains: the Great Saltworks, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and historic churches and chapels.
  • Arc-et-Senans: the Royal Saltworks, a masterpiece by Claude-Nicolas Ledoux, also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • Arbois: Saint-Just church and its heritage sites.
  • Poligny: the collegiate church and historical sites of the capital of the Comté region.
  • Syam: the Villa Palladienne, an architectural gem of the 19th century.

A demanding and accessible program

Each edition offers about ten concerts covering a wide repertoire of chamber music: duos, trios, string quartets, quintets, ensembles with piano, voice, and wind instruments. The program mixes great classics of the repertoire with lesser-known works, offering the public musical discoveries in an intimate and warm setting.

Music, heritage, and gastronomy

Les Musicales du Revermont are not limited to concerts. The festival invites visitors to discover the region through its gastronomic riches (Jura wines, Comté cheese, smoked charcuterie), its landscapes of valleys and vineyards, and its thermal and salt heritage. Friendly moments with tastings and artist encounters punctuate the festival week.
