Les Nuits de l'Alligator is a traveling festival dedicated to blues and its offshoots, touring around fifteen French cities every winter. For over fifteen editions, this festival has become an essential reference for blues in France, offering a carefully curated program that highlights the richness and diversity of this music born in the southern United States.

Each edition presents a clever mix of emerging African American artists and established international talents. The festival gives pride of place to new voices in blues, folk, soul, and gospel, while also hosting renowned musicians who both preserve and renew the tradition.

While blues remains the common thread, Les Nuits de l'Alligator also explores rock, folk, soul, gospel, and all music rooted in the blues. This openness allows the audience to discover the connection between original blues and contemporary popular music.

The Nancy stop at L'Autre Canal

In Nancy, Les Nuits de l'Alligator has stopped several times at L'Autre Canal, a contemporary music venue known for its acoustic quality and programming, notably for the 19th edition on January 21, 2025. However, the 20th edition (touring from February 2 to 14, 2026) does not include a stop in Nancy: the fourteen cities visited are Amiens, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, La Roche-sur-Yon, La Rochelle, Laval, Lorient, Marseille, Orléans, Paris, Rouen, Saint-Malo, and Tourcoing.
