Created over thirty years ago, Les Nuits de Longwy has become a must-see summer event in Meurthe-et-Moselle. This free music festival offers a series of open-air concerts every year from early July to the end of August in the town of Longwy, a fortified city by Vauban located at the gates of Luxembourg and Belgium.
The strength of Les Nuits de Longwy lies in the diversity of its program. The festival hosts artists from all musical backgrounds, offering the public a varied panorama of styles and sounds.
Each edition features established artists from the French and international scene. The 2025 edition, the 31st, notably hosted Neg'Marrons, Zouk Machine, Lofofora, and Erik Truffaz, demonstrating the festival's musical eclecticism, which ranges from reggae, zouk, and alternative metal to jazz.
Beyond the headliners, Les Nuits de Longwy also showcases emerging artists and regional bands. Groups like Princess Erika, Marcel et Son Orchestre, Woodruff, La Solution, and Trucadub enrich the program with pop rock, world music, and dub sounds.
One of the main features of Les Nuits de Longwy is its complete freeness. All concerts are free to access, making this event a truly popular and accessible festival for everyone. This pricing policy, supported by the Mairie de Longwy, contributes to the warm and relaxed atmosphere that characterizes the festival.
