The birth of a legendary beach party in 2006
Les Plages Électroniques was born in 2006 on the beaches of Cannes, with a simple yet audacious ambition: to create the biggest beach electronic festival in France. From the very first edition, which brought together around 7,000 people, the concept was a hit: dancing with your feet in the sand, facing the sea, with the world's greatest DJs. In twenty years, the festival has grown from this initial party to a major event on the European electronic scene, attracting 60,000 festival-goers over three days.
Six stages on the Palais des Festivals beach
Every summer, the festival takes over the beach of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, transforming this iconic location on the Croisette into a vast open-air dance floor. Six stages offer diverse atmospheres, from the monumental main stage to more intimate stages dedicated to techno, house, bass music, or hip-hop. Festivities begin at 2 PM and continue until 5 AM, offering fifteen hours of non-stop music per day.
2024 Edition: Boris Brejcha, Paul Kalkbrenner, and SCH
The 17th edition took place on August 16, 17, and 18, 2024. Friday featured Boris Brejcha, Fisher, Gazo, and Feder. Saturday was marked by Timmy Trumpet, Kaytranada, Bon Entendeur, Creeds, Mosimann, and Angie & Lazuli. Sunday concluded in style with Paul Kalkbrenner, SCH, Lost Frequencies, Apashe with Brass Orchestra, Nico Moreno, and Miel de Montagne.
2025 Edition: Peggy Gou, Tiësto, and Booba
The 18th edition will be held on August 8, 9, and 10, 2025, with an XXL lineup featuring Peggy Gou, Tiësto, Booba, Charlotte De Witte, Eric Prydz, Luidji, François Mercier, Jersey, Kungs, Purple Disco Machine, and Trym. The festival has confirmed its ability to bring together the biggest names in global electro and French rap on the same stage.
20th Anniversary in 2026: DJ Snake Takes the Helm
For its 20th anniversary, Les Plages Électroniques returns on August 7, 8, and 9, 2026. On Sunday, August 9, DJ Snake will headline a special day for which he will choose the entire lineup. Martin Garrix, Amélie Lens, PLK, Nico Moreno, and Mosimann are among the first names announced for this exceptional anniversary edition.
