Electronic music in deckchairs in the Jardin de l'Évêché
For several years, Les Siestes Électroniques have spread far beyond their Toulouse origins to take over exceptional heritage sites. In Castres, it is the Jardin de l'Évêché, a French formal garden setting at the foot of the famous Musée Goya, that hosts this unique musical interlude each year in June.
The principle of Les Siestes Électroniques is as simple as it is appealing: deckchairs are arranged in the garden, and the audience settles in comfortably to be carried away by ambient, experimental, and contemplative electronic music. Far from dance floors and thundering beats, Les Siestes favor attentive and immersive listening, fostering an intimate relationship between artists and the audience. Concerts usually start in the late afternoon, around 5:30 PM, taking advantage of the golden light of the setting sun.
The event is the result of a collaboration between three major cultural players: Lo Bolegason, a contemporary music venue in the Castres-Mazamet area; the Musée Goya, an internationally renowned museum of Hispanic art; and the collective Les Siestes Électroniques, based in Toulouse, which has been developing a network of electronic music festivals in heritage sites across France and Europe since 2003.
This partnership blends the worlds of electronic music, architectural heritage, and visual arts, offering a cross-cutting and contemporary cultural experience in the heart of Castres.
Les Siestes Électroniques au Musée Goya are completely free and require no reservation. They are part of the Rendez-vous aux Jardins (Garden Meetings), a national event initiated by the Ministry of Culture to promote landscape heritage. Over the years, the event has hosted artists such as Rod-R, Junge Eko, Martyna Basta, Zelezna, Ange Halliwell, and Unsort, representing the most inventive currents of the contemporary electronic scene.
2026 edition of Les Siestes Électroniques at Musée Goya: on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, in the Jardin de l'Évêché in Castres. A free chill afterwork session to enjoy on a deckchair, with the hypnotic universe of Ange Halliwell (harp and enchanting arpeggios) and the spectral electro of Unsort. Program designed by Lo Bolegason, the Musée Goya, and the collective Les Siestes Électroniques, as part of the national Rendez-vous aux jardins.
For this new 2026 edition, the Musée Goya, Lo Bolegason, and Les Siestes Électroniques are once again coming together to offer a musical interlude in the Jardin de l'Évêché, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. The event is part of the national event « Rendez-vous aux jardins », initiated by the Ministry of Culture.
The principle remains faithful to the spirit of the Toulouse festival: deckchairs arranged in the French garden, at the foot of the Musée Goya, to settle in comfortably and let oneself be carried away by ambient, hypnotic, and contemplative electronic music. The public can enjoy the late afternoon light on the trimmed boxwoods of the Évêché, close their eyes, and enter a demanding sound universe. In case of rain, the concert is moved inside the museum.
This edition's lineup brings together two complementary artists: Ange Halliwell, whose hypnotic universe blends harp, enchanting arpeggios, and spectral textures, and Unsort, who develops spectral electro between poetry and visual arts. Two proposals that move away from the dancefloor to favor attentive and immersive listening.
For those who wish to extend the evening, Lo Bolegason continues at 7:30 PM with a paid concert: Photons + Odeza, a nocturnal and immersive electro-jazz evening (separate ticketing at Bolegason).
