Reggae, dub and world music festival in Levroux
Lev'Roots is a reggae, dub, ska, hip-hop, and electronic music festival created in 2010 in Levroux by the association Ça C Fé. Located at the municipal stadium on the route de Buzançais, the open-air festival annually brings together established artists and new discoveries around reggae and sound system cultures. With a capacity limited to 2,000 people per day to preserve listening quality and exchanges with artists, Lev'Roots offers a friendly and intimate musical experience, supported by a team of eighty volunteers and more than twenty partners.
Since 2010, the Lev'Roots festival has made the small town of Levroux vibrate to the rhythms of reggae, dub, ska, and hip-hop. Carried by the association Ça C Fé, this festival was built on the passion of a collective of volunteers determined to promote reggae music and its derivatives in the Indre department. Located at the municipal stadium on the route de Buzançais, Lev'Roots offers a rural and relaxed setting, with an open-air stage and concerts under a marquee.
Lev'Roots' program blends reggae, roots, dub, ska, hip-hop, cumbia, and électronic music, creating a musical journey rich in colors and vibrations. Over its editions, the festival has hosted nationally and internationally renowned artists such as Hilight Tribe, Panda Dub, L'Entourloop, Mawyd, Demi Portion, Roots Intention Crew, and Watt The Fox, as well as many local and regional discoveries. Concerts take place outdoors, with camping available by the communal pond.
One of Lev'Roots' peculiarities is its capacity voluntarily limited to 2,000 people per day. This deliberate choice aims to preserve listening quality and foster exchanges between the public and artists. This human-scale festival philosophy creates an intimate and warm atmosphere, far from large impersonal gatherings. The association Ça C Fé brings together approximately 80 volunteers and over 40 partners (public, private, and institutional) to bring this event to life.
Beyond the festival, the association Ça C Fé pursues a broader objective: to develop and sustain the Lev'Roots event, promote and disseminate reggae, ska, and rock music throughout the department, and contribute to a collective adventure that brings together the local community. The festival actively participates in the cultural animation of Levroux and the Berrichon territory, proving that contemporary music can radiate far beyond large cities. Concerts begin in the early evening and continue late into the night, offering a complete and immersive musical experience.
The Lev'Roots festival returns on July 3 and 4, 2026 to the municipal stadium in Levroux for a new edition of this unmissable reggae event in Indre. The Ça C Fé association and its 80 volunteers are preparing a program mixing reggae, roots, dub, ska, hip-hop, and electronic music. The full program will be unveiled in the spring on the festival's Facebook page.
