About LudoFestival
The LudoFestival (renamed "LudoForestival" for its 2026 edition) is the major annual board game festival organized by the association Les Couleurs du Jeu, a toy library and Social Life Space in Canéjan, in the Bordeaux metropolitan area (Gironde). For about ten days, the Bergerie du Courneau transforms into a huge play area open to all families, with no age limit.
On the program: hundreds of board games to try freely, spaces dedicated to toddlers, weekend activities (raffle, face painting, Easter egg hunt), tournaments and initiations (Mölkky, Warhammer, role-playing games), meetings with game authors and publishers, and on-site catering. An unmissable playful event on the left bank of Bordeaux.
LudoFestival: The Gaming Event in Canéjan
Organized every spring by the association Les Couleurs du Jeu at the Bergerie du Courneau in Canéjan (Gironde), the LudoFestival — themed each year (e.g., "LudoForestival" and its forest universe in 2026) — is one of the most important playful highlights of the Bordeaux metropolitan area. The event is supported by Canéjan's toy library, which boasts over 3,800 games and toys.
Ten Days of Play for Everyone
For nearly two weeks, young and old alike come to play freely: sensory mats for toddlers, construction, balance, and strategy games for all ages, carefully arranged thematic spaces. The festival also welcomes groups and communities by reservation.
Activities, Authors, and Publishers
Each edition features special weekend activities (raffle, face painting, treasure hunts) as well as meetings with game authors and publishers, retro-gaming sessions, tournaments, and introductions to various games (Mölkky, Warhammer, role-playing games).
A Community and Family Event
Supported by the municipality of Canéjan, the Gironde Department, the CAF, and Gironde Habitat, the LudoFestival offers symbolic prices (€1 per person) to remain accessible to all families. On-site catering is available.

From March 30 to April 10, 2026, the Bergerie du Courneau in Canéjan hosts the 21st edition of Les Couleurs du Jeu's game festival, on the theme of the forest: « LudoForestival ».
Game areas
Carpet with 1,000 sensory leaves for toddlers, walk in the mushroom woods, giant forest friends' cabin to help squirrels collect their hazelnuts, construction, balance, and strategy games for all ages and tastes.
Weekend activities
Raffle (€1), face painting (€1), pine cone hunt on Easter Monday (April 6). The creator of « Dixit » Jean-Louis Roubira will introduce his new game « Good Fortune » and his many prototypes. Publisher Jonathan Pailloncy (On The Go Editions) will also be present. Retrogaming on Saturday (3 PM - 7 PM) with Romain from GT ROM Gaming, as well as cooperative games, tournaments, wooden game challenges, and initiations (Mölkky, Warhammer, role-playing game). On-site catering.
