The Senonches Night Market: crafts and conviviality in the heart of Perche

Every summer, the Office de Tourisme des Forêts du Perche organizes the Marché Nocturne Artisanal de Senonches, a festive and friendly event held by the edge of Lake Arthur Rémy, in an exceptional natural setting on the edge of the large Senonches state forest. This annual event has become a highlight of the Perche summer, attracting locals and holidaymakers around local crafts and regional flavors.

More than thirty artisans and producers

From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., more than thirty exhibitors set up around the lake to present their creations and specialties. Artisans — potters, jewelers, basket makers, textile designers, wood and leather workers — rub shoulders with food producers: cheese makers, beekeepers, bakers, charcuterie makers, and jam makers from Perche. This diversity offers visitors a complete overview of the region's artisanal know-how.

Musical and artistic entertainment

The evening is punctuated by live music concerts that create a festive and relaxed atmosphere by the water. The association Senonches Ville d'Art offers a painting exhibition, showcasing the talent of local artists. A raffle is organized throughout the evening, allowing visitors to win a basket filled with products offered by the artisans and producers present.

Lake Arthur Rémy, nestled on the edge of the Senonches state forest — one of the most beautiful deciduous forests in Eure-et-Loir — offers an idyllic setting for this summer evening. The setting sun reflecting on the water, the woody scents of the nearby forest, and the mildness of the Perche summer evenings create a unique atmosphere, conducive to strolling and discovery.
