Folk, world music, crafts and traditional dance in Aucamville
The Marguest'Ô Rural Art Festival was born from a simple but profound conviction: living culture has its place in villages, and rural residents deserve quality artistic events right at their doorstep. Organized every spring in Aucamville (82600), in the Tarn-et-Garonne region, this free, family-friendly festival transforms the heart of the village into a space for creation, sharing, and celebration.
The formula, refined and appreciated over the years, is both simple and ambitious: concerts of contemporary and world music, creative workshops for children, exhibition spaces, dance, crafts, and local gastronomy follow one another from the afternoon until late at night. Admission is completely free, in line with the inclusive and participatory philosophy that drives the organizing team.
The 2025 edition, on May 24, featured a musical program carefully constructed around four complementary artistic offerings.
Mélys opened the concerts with her "floral folk" music, a delicate universe blending singing in English and Spanish, folk guitar, and indie-pop influences. A poetic and luminous set that immediately set the tone for the evening.
Junkyard Birds, a heavy rock trio drawing from the classics of the genre, brought the electric energy and sonic power expected from a rock band in the tradition of the great British and American bands of the 1970s-1980s.
Taalkimia offered the most distant journey of the evening, with its electronic world music fusing Indian, Oriental, and tribal sounds with trance and techno beats. A hypnotic and danceable performance that transported the audience far beyond the borders of the village of Aucamville.
The musical closing was provided by Boogie Van, a DJ on vinyl turntables only, whose emblematic mobile sound system extended the party until the early hours of May 25.
True to its participatory and family-friendly mission, Marguest'Ô offers ARTeliers (creative workshops) for children throughout the afternoon. Drawing, clay work, macramé, painting, and flower crown making are all invitations to create for the youngest festival-goers. Archery and wooden games complete these activities.
An exhibition of drawings and creations made by students from the Aucamville school is presented during the festival, making the event a moment for expression and appreciation of children's creativity.
The cultural forum space at Marguest'Ô hosts several local associations and heritage structures, reflecting the organizers' desire to anchor the festival in its territory and history. The Association des Amis de l'Abbaye du Grand Selve, Mot à Mot (language practice and valorization association), PAPA (Preservation and Animation of Aucamville's Heritage), and Collectif Santé Mentale 82 are among the regular partners of this space for meetings and exchanges.
The Rest'Ô du Marguest'Ô offers homemade food at very affordable prices (2 to 11 €) throughout the evening, with dishes like rougail saucisse, nuggets, vegetarian options, and crepes. A bar serves beers and non-alcoholic drinks, and a wine bar is run by a producer from Fronton (Château Baudare), thus promoting the region's vineyards.
The festival takes care of its festival-goers with a "Refuge du Marguest'Ô" area offering a first-aid station, a breastfeeding/changing area, earplugs, noise-canceling headphones for children, and a secure zone.
The Marguest'Ô Rural Art Festival returns on Saturday, May 30, 2026 to Aucamville (Tarn-et-Garonne) for its 8th edition, a free, open-air village festival open to all. From 5 PM until 2 AM, the village square hosts folk, electro, gypsy swing and vocal tradition concerts, creative workshops for children, crafts, and local food, in a participatory and family-friendly spirit.
The Marguest'Ô Rural Art Festival returns on Saturday, May 30, 2026 to Aucamville, in Tarn-et-Garonne, for a new edition of this popular, artistic, and entirely free festival. True to its vocation as an inclusive and participatory village festival, the event takes place outdoors in the village square, from 5 PM until 2 AM.
The 2026 program is conceived as a multi-stage sound journey, juxtaposing musical worlds that seem to oppose each other: folk and western, traditional multi-voice songs, hip-hop tinged with gypsy swing and Balkan sounds, electro mixed with cello, and a 100% vinyl DJ set to close the night.
As with every edition, the festival also offers creative workshops for children, a craft area, homemade food and a refreshment stand accessible throughout the evening, as well as a family care and reception area (« Le Refuge du Marguest'Ô »).
The site opens at 5:00 PM; the evening continues until around 2:00 AM. Live concerts, vinyl atmosphere, creative workshops for children, crafts, and on-site food.
The detailed program (precise performance times and schedule of ARTeliers for children) is published by the association on marguesto.com and its social media channels closer to the event.
