About Matrimoine Days in Jarville-la-Malgrange
Le Féru des sciences, the science culture center in Jarville-la-Malgrange, is dedicating a weekend in September to female researchers. For the European Heritage Days (Journées du Matrimoine), the center is hosting a series of encounters with scientists from the University of Lorraine specializing in archaeology, genetics, cryptology, agronomy, and mineralogy. These sessions are designed to highlight the career paths of women in fields where they remain underrepresented.

Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th, 2026
- 10 am – 7 pm — Museum open, free admission · Le Féru des sciences
- 2 pm – 6 pm — One-on-one with researchers: meet around fifteen female researchers, professors, and PhD students in archaeology, neurophysiology, and life sciences
- 2 pm – 6 pm — Sound in all its forms, interactive science workshop (20 min)
- My Thesis in 180 Seconds: PhD students present their research work
- Wikey Workshop: introduction to contributing to articles about female scientists
- 2:15 pm, 3:15 pm, 4:15 pm, 5:15 pm — Women and the factory towns, guided tour (20 min)
