The races feature free entertainment for families.

The Meeting de Deauville Barrière: equestrian excellence in the heart of the Norman summer

The Deauville-La Touques racecourse, inaugurated in 1864 on the initiative of the Duc de Morny, is the beating heart of the Deauville summer. Every August, the Meeting de Deauville Barrière transforms this historic setting into the European capital of flat racing, welcoming the world's best thoroughbreds and jockeys.

An exceptional sporting program

The meeting offers 16 days of racing on Tuesdays, Thursdays (in semi-night), Saturdays, and Sundays. The sporting program includes 7 Group 1 races, 5 Group 2, and 11 Group 3, featuring legendary events such as the Prix Jacques Le Marois, the Prix Maurice de Gheest, the Prix Rothschild, and the Prix Morny.

With over 1,700 horses and 100 jockeys participating, the meeting attracts tens of thousands of spectators and is one of the highlights of the international racing calendar.

Entertainment and conviviality

Beyond the races, the meeting offers free entertainment for families on each day: pony rides, inflatable structures, wooden games, mini-golf, Mölkky, giant ball pit, and temporary tattoos. The event is supported by the Barrière Group and organized by France Galop.
