Over 40 free stages from Fréjus-Plage to the historic heart on June 21, 2026
Every June 21st, Fréjus kicks off summer with the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): over 40 stages liven up the city, from Fréjus-Plage to the historic heart, passing through Port-Fréjus and Saint-Aygulf. Organized by the City of Fréjus, the evening is entirely free and makes the Côte d'Azur vibrate to the rhythm of country, rock'n'roll, 80s hits, and dance.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Fréjus into an open-air stage every June 21st. Local artists, amateur groups, and established musicians freely take over squares, streets, and terraces to celebrate the arrival of summer on the Côte d'Azur.
The event stands out for its scale: over forty stages distributed across the commune's different districts. Along Fréjus-Plage, the seafront stretches for 1.5 km of terraces and festive atmospheres; in the historic heart, the atmosphere becomes more Provençal and intimate along the narrow streets. Port-Fréjus and the Saint-Aygulf district complete this musical journey that extends late into the night.
All styles coexist across the stages: country, rock'n'roll, 80s hits, dance, and many other genres to dance or stroll from one concert to another, by the water as well as in the city center.
The 2026 Fête de la Musique in Fréjus takes place on Sunday, June 21st, starting at 7 PM, free of charge throughout the city. Over 40 stages enliven the neighborhoods, from Fréjus-Plage to the historic heart, featuring all musical styles.
For the 2026 edition, the City of Fréjus is deploying over 40 stages spread across the commune's different neighborhoods. Here's an overview by sector:
