About Music Festival in Agen
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, Agen celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians, local bands, and guest artists perform for free in the squares and streets of the city center. Organized by the City of Agen in partnership with the contemporary music venue Le Florida (SMAC), the day is entirely free and open to all.
The Fête de la Musique in Agen
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Agen into an open-air stage. Music freely takes over public spaces, in all genres and for all audiences, from the first concerts in the late afternoon until late into the night. For 2026, the City of Agen has chosen to shift the event to Saturday, June 20 (rather than Sunday, June 21), to benefit from a livelier city center.
A festival organized by the City and Le Florida
For the 2026 edition, the City of Agen is setting up dedicated spaces in the city center, equipped with electricity to host bands independently. The Agen contemporary music venue, Le Florida (SMAC), is once again involved in the organization and is managing a stage entirely run by its teams. A call for applications has been opened to local musicians and bands to perform on the official spaces.
