About Music Festival in Annemasse
Every June 21, Annemasse celebrates the Fête de la Musique: free concerts and performances invade the squares and streets of the city center, from Place de la Libération to Esplanade de la Gare, passing through Parc Montessuit. Organized by the City of Annemasse, the day is entirely free and mixes all styles, from rock to rap, jazz to reggae, big bands from the conservatory to electro.
The Fête de la Musique in Annemasse
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Annemasse into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from mid-afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences. At the gates of Genève, the large city of the Haut-Savoyard Genevois welcomes amateurs, conservatory students, and established groups on a dozen stages spread throughout the city center.
A festival spread throughout the city center
The City of Annemasse sets up several stages in the city center: the Stud's stage from Château Rouge at Place de la Libération, City stages on Esplanade de la Gare, at Parc Montessuit, Rue du Commerce, Avenue de la République, and Place Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as a Conservatory stage at Place du Jumelage. The atmospheres follow one another without hierarchy: pop rock, blues, funk, jazz, indie soul, neoclassical piano, rap, hip-hop, reggae, batucada, and vocal improvisations. The city center bars and restaurants, like L'Apericena on Rue du Chablais, extend the celebration with their own entertainment.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Annemasse will take place on Sunday, June 21st, free of charge throughout the city center. About ten stages will liven up the city center, from Place de la Libération to Esplanade de la Gare and Parc Montessuit, from mid-afternoon until midnight.

Orchestras and big band from the conservatory.
Entertainment in the city center
- Passage couvert (between Rue du Commerce and Place Rousseau), 5 PM: vocal improvisation (Circle Songs).
- Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, 5:45 PM: samba reggae batucada.
- Rue du Chablais: musical entertainment from L'Apericena bar.
Refreshment stands are set up near each stage, and a street food offering completes the evening.
