About Music Festival in Bron
Every June 21, Bron celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians, local choirs, and invited groups perform for free outdoors in the city center. Organized by the City of Bron, in partnership with the MJC Louis Aragon, the evening is entirely free and open to all, featuring all musical styles.
The Fête de la Musique in Bron
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Bron's city center into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces in the evening, in all genres and for all audiences, from neighborhood choirs to amateur groups and contemporary music acts.
A festival spread across several city center stages
Usually, the City of Bron sets up several stages in the heart of the city: around Place Curial and Église Saint-Denis for local choirs, on Place de Weingarten (Hôtel de Ville forecourt) for selected amateur musicians, on Square Grimma and Parking République (between Rue Louis Ailloud and Avenue de la République) for a contemporary music stage organized with the MJC Louis Aragon. Styles coexist: choir, classical, pop, rock, world music, blues, metal, rap, and folk.

Usually, the festival unfolds free of charge on several stages in the city center starting from 6 PM: Place Curial / Saint-Denis church (choirs), Place de Weingarten on the Hôtel de Ville esplanade (amateur musicians), Square Grimma and Parking République for a contemporary music stage with MJC Louis Aragon. Light refreshments are usually offered on the Hôtel de Ville esplanade and at Square Grimma.
