About Music Festival in Cavaillon
For the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival), Cavaillon makes its streets vibrate to the rhythm of music for two days, Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st, 2026. Organized by the City of Cavaillon, its MJC and its Music Conservatory, the program is festive and open to all ages, with concerts and activities spread across several locations in the city. The day of June 21st culminates in Place Gambetta with a big concert and an open-air DJ set until midnight. Free admission.
The Fête de la Musique in Cavaillon
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique celebrates music in all its forms every June 21st. In Cavaillon, the city in the Luberon extends the celebration over two days: on Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st, 2026, the city's streets, squares, and halls welcome amateur musicians and Conservatory ensembles for free, from choirs to contemporary music.
A festival spread throughout the city
The Cavaillon Music Conservatory is at the heart of the event, from musical awakening for toddlers to symphony orchestras, including batucada, guitar ensembles, and contemporary music groups. The MJC hosts a highlight dedicated to children, while Rue de la République celebrates the second anniversary of the Passage des Arts with music. Place Gambetta hosts the main Sunday evening concerts, leading up to the DJ set that closes the festival at midnight. The city's bars and restaurants complete the program with their own musical entertainment.

Saturday, June 20 — Conservatoire de musique
- 10:00 AM-11:30 AM — Salle du Moulin Saint-Julien: garden and musical awakening show, with the Conservatoire's little ones on stage.
- 11:30 AM — Salle du Moulin Saint-Julien: Conservatoire guitar ensemble.
- 11:45 AM — Parvis de la salle du Moulin Saint-Julien: the Conservatoire's batucada and its wild rhythms.
- 12:00 PM — Verrière de l'Hôtel de ville: concert by the first-cycle string orchestras of the Conservatoires of Nîmes and Cavaillon.
- 7:00 PM — Salle du Moulin Saint-Julien: conservatoires concert, with the symphonic orchestras of Cavaillon and Apt bringing together 70 musicians on stage.
Saturday, June 20 — Rue de la République
Le Passage des Arts celebrates its 2nd anniversary with music: setting the street to music, words, and movement, with discovery of the barrel organ, stilt dancer, and multi-instrumental orchestra.
Sunday, June 21
- 10:30 AM — Base nature du Grenouillet: « La Boum Boom! », a moment for children aged 5 to 10 animated by Anne-Laure Carette, blending accordion and electronic music (offered by the MJC).
- 6:00 PM — Espace Léon Colombier: concert by the choir of the Confrérie du Melon.
- 7:00 PM — Place Gambetta: « Kill ze pupitre », the Conservatoire's contemporary music group, opening the evening.
- 8:30 PM-10:30 PM — Place Gambetta: Les Bandits Manchots, an explosive mix of ragga, reggae, French chanson, and rock'n'roll, with strong brass and guitar presence.
- 11:00 PM-midnight — Place Gambetta: DJ night, open-air set to dance until midnight in the heart of the city.
The bars and restaurants of Cavaillon also offer their own musical entertainment throughout the festival.
