About Music Festival in Frontignan
Every June 21, Frontignan-la-Peyrade celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, conservatory students, and local groups play for free in the city center, on the beach, and in La Peyrade. Organized by the Ville de Frontignan-la-Peyrade, the day is entirely free and open to all, from classical to contemporary music.
The Fête de la Musique in Frontignan
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Frontignan-la-Peyrade into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from late afternoon until late in the evening, in all genres and for all audiences.
A festival across three sectors
Usually, the festival unfolds across the commune's three main sectors: the city center and its squares, the seafront by the beach, and the La Peyrade district. Squares and small squares host open-air concerts organized by local music associations, the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Intercommunal (C.R.I), choirs, bars, and shopkeepers, in styles ranging from classical to jazz, from French song to contemporary music.
