About Music Festival in Gap
Every June 21, Gap celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians and artists freely take over the squares, parks, and streets of the city center. Organized by the City of Gap, the day is entirely free and blends all styles, from rock to rap, including electro, folk, classical, and world music.
The Fête de la Musique in Gap
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the prefecture of the Hautes-Alpes into an open-air stage every June 21. From late afternoon, music freely invades the city center: every square, every park, and every street corner hosts concerts, lasting late into the evening.
A celebration throughout the city center
The City of Gap annually brings together numerous groups and artists spread across multiple stages in the heart of the city center. All genres coexist without hierarchy: rock, rap, electronic music, folk, classical, choral singing, and world music. Bars, restaurants, and terraces in the center extend the celebration.
