Every June 21, La Seyne-sur-Mer celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians, conservatory students, and professional artists play for free in the city center squares and along the seafront, from Les Sablettes to the esplanade. Organized by the City of La Seyne-sur-Mer, the day is entirely free and open to all.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms La Seyne-sur-Mer into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from mid-afternoon until late at night, in all genres and for all audiences, between the city center and the seafront.
A festival spread between the city center and the seafront
Usually, the second largest city in Var multiplies its stages: the city center squares and terraces (Place Daniel Perrin, Place Martel Esprit, Rue Cyrus Hugues), the Tisot forecourt, the esplanade, and the seaside district of Les Sablettes host concerts, open stages, and entertainment. The conservatory, music schools, local associations, and shopkeepers participate in the festival, which blends classical music, jazz, pop-rock, Latin, and urban music.
