Every June 21, Narbonne celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, local bands, and established artists play for free in the streets, squares, and terraces of the city center. Organized by the City of Narbonne, the evening is entirely free and open to all styles, from rock to jazz, from French chanson to world music.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Narbonne into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from mid-afternoon until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences.
A celebration throughout the city center
Usually, several stages are distributed in different sectors of the city center (the « Cœur de Ville »), while bars and restaurants extend the celebration onto their terraces and inside their establishments. The program organized by the City of Narbonne aims to be varied: rock, pop, jazz, electro, variety, classical music, French chanson, hip-hop, or world music.
