Over twenty free stages in the city center, on Saturday, June 20, 2026
In Rambouillet, the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) is an institution: for over forty years, Usine à Chapeaux, in partnership with the City, has transformed the historic center into a huge open-air stage. In 2026, the event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, from 8:30 PM to 2 AM, with over twenty stages spread from rue Chasles to the castle. The evening is completely free and blends all genres, from classical to metal, including chanson, jazz, and gospel.
Organized for over forty years by the cultural association Usine à Chapeaux, in partnership with the City of Rambouillet, the Rambouillet Fête de la Musique is one of the oldest and most popular in the Yvelines region. Each year, it gathers between 15,000 and 20,000 people in a city center given over to musicians and strollers.
For one evening, the heart of Rambouillet transforms into a large open-air stage: from the beginning of rue Chasles to the castle, passing through the Jardin du Roi de Rome and Place Félix Faure, over twenty stages host dozens of groups. The deliberately eclectic program brings together classical, rock, metal, pop, French chanson, blues, jazz, traditional music, and gospel, with priority given to local musicians.
Beyond the concerts, street arts invite themselves into the alleys: African dance, capoeira, brass bands, batucada, and giant puppets animate the strolls between two stages, in a family-friendly and festive atmosphere.
